Paramedicine
Paramedicine
Paramedics are a vital part of the healthcare profession. They provide emergency medical care outside of hospitals, treating for severe injuries and sudden illnesses during transport to a medical facility.
Paramedics are highly trained healthcare professionals who provide advanced emergency medical care in prehospital and community settings. For currently certified paramedics, Manor College’s Paramedicine provides a pathway to build on that professional education and experience while earning an Associate of Applied Science degree.
Developed in Manor College’s partnership with VMSC Emergency Medical Services, eligible paramedics can receive college credit for their completed paramedic education and finish the remaining general education requirements needed to earn their degree.
Why Earn a Degree in Paramedicine?
Becoming a certified paramedic prepares you to provide advanced emergency medical care and work in the prehospital setting. Earning an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Paramedicine can help take that experience further.
For currently certified paramedics, an associate degree can provide a competitive advantage when pursuing leadership, supervisory, education, management, community paramedicine, and other specialized roles within EMS and healthcare.
The degree can also provide a foundation for continued education, including bachelor’s degree programs in areas such as healthcare, emergency management, public safety, or other related fields.
