Services for Students
Reference and Research Services: A professional Librarian is available to students at all times during regular hours. We can help you locate and evaluate information to complete your assignments, cite your sources properly, as well as assist with computer software and tech troubleshooting. One-on-one assistance is available. Contact us to make an appointment or stop by for a walk-in appointment.
Off-Campus Access: Most Library resources can be browsed or accessed from off-campus. The Library catalog allows you to search our print collection and check your Library account, our Databases allow you to access eBooks, periodicals, and journal articles, and our LibGuides provide you will subject or topic specific guides directing you toward the best resources online. Many databases, as well as your Library account, require a log-in, click here for more info.
Course Reserves: The Library may have the required text for your class. Located behind the circulation desk, reserve materials are for in-library use. The study models used in A&P and Vet Tech classes are in a locked cabinet in the Study room and can be retrieved for you by Library staff.
Study Space: The center of the Library is an open and comfortable space for individual and collaborative study. Carrels are available for individual study and tables may be used for quiet group work. Student Study Room can be used for tutoring and private group study, it is not reservable. Students may reserve the Mezzanine Space on the third floor for study groups, projects, ect. Place a request here.
Services for Faculty
Research/Information Literacy Class Sessions: Librarians are available to teach Intro to Libraries, Research Strategies, and IL sessions for all Manor College courses. Please complete the Information Literacy Session Request Form found here.
Targeted Research Guides: The Library can create accessible and Canvas-friendly content for your course that is available to students 24/7, putting at their fingertips the best, reliable online and library resources. Contact the Library staff for more info or, for an example, see the following: PL100: Philosophy & the Human Condition
Course Reserves: Materials may be placed on reserve for in-library use for current courses. This can be a Library copy or personal copy provided by faculty. If you would like to put material on reserve, please complete the Faculty Reserve Form found here.
Mezzanine Study Space: Faculty can reserve the Mezzanine Space on the third floor for in-library instruction. The space welcomes walk-ups, but it must be vacated if the space is reserved. To reserve, please complete the Mezzanine Space Request Form found here.
