Widener Law School Pathway Programs
Widener Law School Pathway Programs
These programs offer qualified Manor College undergraduate students majoring in Criminal Justice the opportunity to complete their bachelor’s degree at Manor College and their Juris Doctorate degree at Widener University Delaware Law School.
Manor College has an articulation agreement with Widener University, Delaware Law School. This agreement provides two pathways for students to pursue law school.
The 3+3 Early Admission Program allows students to earn a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a J.D. in only six years, instead of seven, saving time and money by completing your law degree with your first year of law school simultaneously counting as your last year of undergraduate study.
The Express or Guaranteed Admission program provides admission to students who have completed a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice prior to law school enrollment.
For more information, prospective students should speak with their Admissions Representative. Currently enrolled students should speak with their Academic Advisor or Career Services.
3+3 Early Admission Program:
Manor College undergraduate students may earn both a bachelor’s degree and a juris doctor degree in six years, instead of the usual seven provided they:
- Complete 75% of their bachelor degree’s requirements before enrolling in courses at Delaware Law.
- Earn a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher every semester at Manor College.
- Achieve an LSAT score that meets or exceeds the median LSAT score of the current Delaware Law first year entering class.
- Satisfy all law school admissions requirements relating to character and fitness.
- Submit a completed application to Delaware Law no later than April 1st of the calendar year in which the student plans to begin legal study.
Students admitted to Delaware Law through the 3+3 program must attend on a full time basis until they have completed their bachelor’s degree. At that time, they may elect to continue their legal studies on either a full or part time basis.
Students in the 3+3 Early Admission Program will have Delaware Law send an official transcript to Manor College at the completion of their first year of law school. Students who complete the bachelor’s degree are required to participate in Manor’s graduation.
