– You know my deal at Manor – teacher, program director and developed BA Psychology program/degree.
– Also taught psychology courses at Penn State Abington and in North Philadelphia at Congreso for PSU’s Dual Enrollment program
– I taught 8th grade at St. John the Baptist school in Manayunk/Roxborough - THERAPIST
– Child/Adolescent Therapist for approximately 25 years (various settings e.g., schools, outpatient services in office, mobile therapist in clients’ homes – also worked with clients’ families, including parents and sometimes siblings).
– Group therapist for children/adolescents in Philadelphia Public Schools (primarily Kensington) and in outpatient office setting. - TRAINER/PUBLIC SPEAKER
– Developed and delivered trainings for mental health professionals on topics such as “Engaging Clients,” “Bullying and Social Aggression,” and “Helping Children and Youth Adjust to the New Normal;” for elementary and middle school teachers on “Understanding Trauma in the Classroom,” and for nursing professionals, “Narcissistic Personality Disorder.” I was asked to conduct the mental health professionals’ trainings as webinars, and the educator and nursing trainings were in-person.
– Trained prospective foster parents (in-person) on trauma, discipline, grief and loss, sexual abuse awareness, and the mental health impact of fostering.
– Developed and presented training (at annual foster parent training event at Temple) with a parent of a former client, a mother who had her 5 children returned to her from foster care, called “Foster Care from a Birth Mother’s Perspective.”
– Conducted 2-part series seminars for Holy Redeemer for parents on “Effective Discipline Techniques for Young Children” (more for parents of children aged 5 and under). - Other things on my resume include foster parent recruiter. I also met with prospective foster parents and wrote extensive reports on whether they should be approved as foster parents or not.
- Worked as a Behavior Specialist Consultant for almost 10 years; focusing on behaviors and increasing positive behaviors without getting into the ‘why’s’ or causes of the behaviors.

Why do YOU BELONG HERE?
There’s a family aspect to Manor where I can walk into and out of my classes and have the students come up to say hello. You really get to know the students here. I love my job, the people I work with, and the atmosphere at Manor.
Personal Interests:
House projects e.g., painting, re-doing things in house like flooring, tile work, re-finishing furniture. Also enjoy yardwork e.g., edging and trimming, plants and trimming hedges, and other outdoor work e.g., sanding and re-painting deck, power-washing.
