Manor College Career Fair 2024 - April 18, 2024Post a Job or Internship

Handshake is an online job board and recruiting tool for your company’s opportunities.  To get started with recruiting at Manor, create an employer account on Handshake.  It takes about 3 minutes to set up your free profile.  Once your profile is set up and approved, you can post your open positions, search for students and create events.

Job Posting Pro-Tips from Handshake

  • When posting a job with multiple locations, create one posting and indicate the locations in the Job location field in the Details tab.
    • This will allow you to manage the posting more effectively and prevent individual postings for the same job.
  • When choosing majors or majors groups in the Major categories field in the Preferences tab, select the most appropriate majors or major groups for the position instead of choosing all majors.
    • The majors or major groups selected should correlate with the information provided in the description field.
    • Choosing the most appropriate majors or major groups will ensure that qualified students view the job on their feed.
  • While School years is an optional field, select the preferred school year(s) for the job listed to narrow down your candidate pool.

Career Fairs

Develop a strong presence on campus
Build relationships with Manor students and enhance your organization’s brand on campus by participating in a career fair.  Our Career Fairs are open to students & alumni from all majors and offer opportunities to network with a diverse population of potential recruits who are eager to learn about your full-time, part-time, volunteer and/or internship positions.

These events not only offer a great way to recruit qualified candidates, but they allow you to promote and maintain your company’s brand on-campus. Candidates seeking both entry-level and experienced positions will be ready to discuss how their skills and knowledge can benefit your organization.

If you would like to chat about our career fairs and/or other recruiting/engagement opportunities available at Manor Career Center at careercenter@manor.edu.

How to register for a career fair

  • To register for Manors Career Fairs, employers must first set up a Handshake account. Follow these instructions on setting up an account.
  • It takes about two to three business days for an employer profile to be approved. Once you have created an employer account, you can register for a fair.

Recruit a Blue Jay – Connect with Manor Students

Participating in events is a great way to build your organization’s brand and strengthen your talent pipeline by engaging with students/alumni. Our events bring together students, alumni, and employers for networking, recruiting and industry education.

Opportunities for Connection

  • Tabling
    • Increase your brand awareness and provide students with information about your company, open roles and/or various career pathways available! Employer tabling is a great opportunity to connect with students in an informal setting at various high traffic areas on-campus. We recommend leveraging this activity to promote your Handshake postings, upcoming employer hosted events and your participation in one of our career fairs. There is no charge for employer tabling and interested employers can submit their request via Handshake.
Please note: To ensure you are able to connect with the most students, tabling is not available on Fridays, the week of the career fair and the week prior to and during midterms, finals and academic breaks.
  • Mock Interviews
  • Information Sessions
  • Throughout the year, we host industry-based events for students to connect with employers and/or alumni to learn about their career path and organization, get advice and make connections.
  • Diversity Recruiting Events
  • We are committed to pursuing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in how we serve our students, and that includes recruiting. Our diversity recruiting events seek to connect our diverse student populations with employers who are equally committed to supporting them.
