Madeleine Dean Congressional Grant
Meet the Student Scholarship Recipients of the Manor College Refugee, Immigrant, and First Generation College Students
On January 23, 2023, Manor College received a transformative $1.27 million dollar grant to help refugee, immigrant and first-generation students. The grant was secured by Congresswoman Madeleine Dean (PA-04).
The grant supports students with costs associated with advising, tuition, housing and other essential needs.
In total, more than 170 students have received money from the grant. Here’s more about some of the students who have received that money.
“With this grant that I received, I have been able to accomplish my dreams at Manor College. Two ways this grant helped me accomplish my dreams were by helping me further my education to work toward a Bachelor’s Degree and by helping relieve my financial burdens.” – Hailey Ramirez
“The Madeleine Dean grant allowed me to focus more on school and athletics. Now, this grant has also helped me focus on searching for a job that best suits me, rather than getting the first paid job in my search.” – Eddie Fortescue
