You Belong Here Advantage FAQs

1. What is the You Belong Here Advantage?
Manor College wants you to know that You Belong Here. By removing barriers to education, we will help you through your college career from Orientation to Graduation. All new, full-time students deposited and enrolled by August 1, 2024 will be able to take advantage of the following incentives at no extra cost: Free Textbooks, Manor Meals (4 free meals per week), Free Laptop, Tuition Free Summer Classes for 2025 and New and Improved Fitness Center. 

2. Who is eligible?
All new full-time students. First-time College students or transfers.

3. How do I know if my courses qualify for free textbooks?
All Manor College courses with the exclusion of any Allied Health Licensure program specific books (Vet Tech, Dental Hygiene and EFDA) are eligible for free textbooks.

4. When and where do I pick up my complimentary laptop?
•   Students who register into Summer Bridge offerings will be able to pick up their laptop as early as June 20th. Those not engaged in Summer Bridge will receive their machines on August 22 or September 11.
•   All laptops must be picked up in-person at the College. You will need the following:
          1. Full-time registration for the Fall
          2. An active Manor College email
          3. A Manor College ID

5. What if I don’t want the complimentary laptop?
Students are not required to use a Manor provided laptop.

6. Is the laptop mine to keep?
After graduation, you can purchase your laptop for $1.

7. Can I put games and personal apps on my laptop?
Yes, under a separate login.

8. If I have an issue with my laptop, can IT help me?
Yes! Email helpdesk@manor.edu with your IT related questions and concerns. Click here to learn more about what computer services are available through the Manor College Information Technology Team. 

9. How do free meals work in the You Belong Here Advantage program?
Eligible students will be eligible to enroll in the free meals program by completing a registration form which will be made available online starting in August. Once completed, verified students will be enrolled in the “Meal Plan Only Per Term – Level 1”.  This will entitle them to up to (4) meals per week in the Manor College Dining Hall.  These meals will be loaded onto their StudentID, which then can be swiped in the dining hall to use for payment.  NOTE: Students will have the option to purchase a higher level meal plan as optional, if they choose.
