Carolyn Hagan

Around Manor College: Carolyn is a Presidential Ambassador and a member of the Dean’s List.

Hometown: Media, PA

Fun fact: Carolyn started her career as an aspiring artist. She took her style from popular cartoon shows like Powerpuff Girls, Dexter’s Lab and Gravity Falls. She pursued a career in art, but she soured on the “heavy and thankless” industry. She turned to Dental Hygiene after she saw a flyer at her former college, and thought that her aptitude for science and math would lend itself to a fulfilling career.

Why Carolyn Chose Manor: Carolyn chose Manor after speaking with Manor’s Director of Admissions John Simila. She appreciated the way that he took time to answer her questions and personally took her on a tour of campus. “What Manor has built here is rare,” she said. “Manor made it easier than ever to start conversations with others.”

More About Carolyn: Carolyn credits Simila with choosing Manor, but the two have become friends. They often interact in the hallways and talk about movies.

Idrissa Konobundor

Currently Studying: Pre-Radiologic Sciences

Around Manor College: Idrissa is a first-year student at Manor College who plays soccer for the Blue Jays.

High School: Academy Park High School

Hometown: Sharon Hill, PA

Fun fact: Idrissa grew up in Sierra Leone. His family immigrated to Philadelphia in 2022 and eventually settled in Sharon Hill.

Why Idrissa Chose Manor: Idrissa first heard of Manor College from Abu Bangura, a fellow Sierra Leone native who starred for the Blue Jays from 2022 to 2024. “He told me, ‘If you’re trying to play some good competition, come check out the college that I go to,’” Konobundor said.

More About Idrissa: Idrissa became a key contributor for the Blue Jays in 2025, starting in 18 of 20 games on one of the best defensive teams in the country. His efforts helped lead the Blue Jays to a 2025 ESAC Championship win.
