The Manor College community lives out the ‘S’ in the CARES of our Core Values – Service.

From animal washes to homeless shelters, volunteering on boards and serving at hospitals, the Manor College community is dedicated to giving back. We were able to provide over $5,817 in emergency funds to students in need since January 2025.


Bird Feed

The Manor College Bird Feed collected nearly 2,685.85 lbs of food.


Nature Trail Access to Jenkintown Creek Coming to Manor College

In December 2025, Manor College received a Pennsylvania Community and Economic Development grant for the creation of a nature trail on the institution’s campus. The Nature Trail at Manor College would be a new pathway along the last quarter mile of Jenkintown Creek that, as of now, is not easily walkable.


Presidential Ambassadors Coat Drive

Manor College’s Presidential Ambassadors organized a winter clothing drive that received 55 items. The annual drive donates the items to the St. James Church in Elkins Park, who distributes the clothing to the unhoused in the Kensington area.


Manor College Receives Commonwealth Grant for Dental Health Center Expansion

Manor College’s Dental Health Center, a full-service dental facility on campus that provides essential dental services to the community, will be renovated and expanded thanks to a transformational grant from the Commonwealth. The institution will receive $625,123 for the cost of the project.


How SNAP Cuts Impacted Manor College Students

As those receiving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits faced insecurity in late 2025, Manor College continued to find ways to help students in need. Two students, both mothers who were facing those insecurities, spoke about the challenges and how Manor College offered assistance.


Manor College Among Higher Education Institutions in Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies

Manor College joined the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies after signing a Memorandum of Cooperation during a formal ceremony in September. The organization’s goal is to create joint educational courses, academic exchanges and open Ukrainian studies centers. Manor joins nearly 100 universities worldwide in supporting the Coalition.


Job Fair for SPS Workers

After a fire at SPS Technologies displaced more than 200 workers in nearby Glenside, Manor College hosted a job fair to help be a resource for the community. With help from PA CareerLink Montgomery County, Manor College hosted nearly 30 employers and 150 potential employees in the school gym on April 3.


Wyncote Maple Syrup and Trees

Wyncote Academy and Manor College continued a partnership with Wyncote Academy to enrich the health, prosperity and learning opportunities of students through hands-on learning. For the third year, the two institutions tapped the maple trees across Manor College’s campus for Wyncote Academy’s maple sugaring program. In November, students from Wyncote Academy planted more than 60 trees across Manor College’s campus.


Breaking Barriers

Manor College hosted a panel discussion called “Breaking Barriers: Examining Women’s Success in Traditional Male Fields” on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. The panelists included: Dr. Brenda Roselle, Lead Technical Program Manager; Kristin Hillsley, Senior VP at Baird Foley Hillsley Group; Nikki Johnson Alfano, Esq., Tax Attorney and Business Owner; Cathryn Antonacio, Eagles Autism Foundation at Philadelphia Eagles. The program was moderated by Tracy Davidson, Emmy Award-winning journalist from NBC10 Philadelphia.


Manor College Graduates First Practical Nursing Cohort

Manor College hosted its first-ever Pinning Ceremony on Friday, December 4 to commemorate the first graduating class of Practical Nursing majors at the institution. In total, 17 students earned their pins and their degrees from Manor College’s first cohort of practical nursing students.
