Manor College Junior Breaks Men’s Basketball All-Time Scoring Record

Immanuel Roach (Hamilton, NJ/Life Center Academy) broke the record set by Aaron Brown ‘08.

Manor College Men’s Basketball vs. Fisher College on Thursday, Feb. 19. Manor College won the game 102-87.

Manor College junior Immanuel Roach became Manor College’s all-time leading points scorer. He broke the record of 1,202 set by Aaron Brown ‘08. Roach ends his junior year with 1,225 total points for his career.

“It feels amazing to break the record because it’s a testament to my faith and the work I’ve put in,” Roach said. “Breaking the record shows me how far I’ve come, not only as a basketball player, but as a person.”

Roach said the moment reminded him of being cut from his high school team as an underclassman.

“It just showed me the perseverance that I had, and if I could put my mind to anything, I can accomplish it,” Roach said.

The 1,203 point came on the second made free throw early in the Eastern States Athletic Conference Championship game on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026. The Blue Jays went on to win the ESAC Championship 92-79 over Christendom College.

Roach came to Manor College because of the small class sizes and the ability to interact with professors in the classroom. Since arriving on campus, Roach has become involved on campus as a Presidential Ambassador and recently was named a finalist for the Mother Josaphat Medal.

“I was always told to go where you’re most wanted and that happened to be at Manor, “Roach said. “I’ve felt that through the relationships and connections I’ve built here.”

The record was previously held by Brown, a Strawberry Mansion High School alum who played guard for the Blue Jays from 2006-2008. In January, Brown appeared on Manor College’s Podcast, “The Nest: Stories About Life After Manor College” and was asked about Roach.

“I give early congratulations to him for breaking the record,” said Brown, who currently works as a behavioral health technician. “Records are made to be broken. To have your name stand alone for nearly twenty years, that’s a great accomplishment.”

Roach ends his junior year not only as the top scorer, but as a champion. The Blue Jays defeated Christendom College in the game to become ESAC champions for the second-straight year.
