Vera ‘15 and Marta Penkalskyj ‘18 Named Alumni Speakers at Manor College Commencement

Manor College is proud to welcome back Vera ‘15 and Marta Penkalskyj ‘18 as the Alumni Speakers for the 2024 Commencement ceremony.

The sisters are both recipients of the Mother Josaphat Medal, the highest honor awarded to a student during their time at Manor College.

Vera graduated from Manor College in 2015 with her Associate Degree in Psychology. After graduation, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Holy Family University, and pursued a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She’s currently an Outpatient Therapist at Family Association Services of Bucks County, providing mental health services for all age groups.

“Even after graduating, Manor College holds a dear place in my heart,” Vera said. “I formed long-lasting relationships within Manor’s community and all who serve in it. Obtaining my Associate Degree at Manor set the foundation for my career.”

Marta graduated from Manor College in 2018 with her Associate Degree in Liberal Arts. She went to the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv, Ukraine, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Archeology. Currently, she works in business-to-business marketing, specializing in Outbound Strategy and Market Research.

“Manor acknowledges the value of individuality, and students who ask for help are given it,” Marta said. “Students learn that while it is important to become the best version of themselves, they should invest in others to achieve the same.”

The pair will be joined by Gregory E. Deavens, the CEO of Independence Blue Cross who will serve as the Commencement Orator. Edward Fortescue Jr. and Neysha Medina will be the student speakers.

Manor College’s 2024 Commencement takes place on May 16 at 1 p.m.
