Dr. Jonathan Peri Named to Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary’s Academic Affairs Committee

The term starts this Fall and continues through December 31, 2030.

Dr. Jonathan Peri, Jenkintown’s President of Manor College, has been named to serve on the Academic Affairs Committee (AAC) of the Board of Trustees for Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary. He will serve in this capacity starting Fall 2026 and through December 31, 2030.

“I’m honored to serve on the committee, which is doing excellent work to help develop leaders who will energize the Catholic spirit of peace and justice in our world,” Dr. Peri said.

The Seminary, located in Ambler, was founded in 1832 and remains the oldest Catholic institution of higher learning in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Its mission is to form priests to be shepherds after the heart of Jesus Christ, and permanent deacons, religious and lay men and women for various forms of ministry, service and discipleship.

The purpose of the AAC, advisory to the Board, is to recommend to the Board institutional academic policies, interpret approved policies to the administration and provide to the Board informational reports concerning the results of implementation.

Dr. Peri was appointed President at Manor College in late 2015 after serving as Vice President and General Counsel for Neumann University for nearly 10 years. In his decade-plus tenure at Manor, Dr. Peri has seen the institution through financial challenges in the mid-2010’s, a global pandemic in 2020, and today, the institution is thriving in a field where others have not. Manor’s Fall 2026 incoming class was its largest since 2021. In 2024, the Manor College Board of Trustees renewed his contract through 2030.

He holds a B.A. from Villanova University, a J.D. from Widener University School of Law, a Management and Leadership in Education certificate from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership with an Education Concentration from Eastern University.  He has an extensive record of board service including nonprofit, gubernatorially appointed government, and corporate leadership roles.
