Manor’s Natasha Moore Earns AICUP Commonwealth Good Citizen Scholarship

Moore is one of ten scholarship recipients across more than 90 AICUP member institutions.

Manor College senior Natasha Moore has been named the recipient of the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania (AICUP) Commonwealth Good Citizen Scholarship.

“I feel really proud and I’m grateful to AICUP for this incredible honor,” Moore said. “I feel happy to receive this and it feels good to do things for other people.”

The Commonwealth Good Citizen Scholarship is eligible to all of AICUP’s 90+ member institutions. In total, only ten scholarships are awarded each year.

According to AICUP, the scholarship is reserved for undergraduate students who “have shown an extraordinary commitment to community service and who have demonstrated creativity in shaping their volunteer activities.”

“Natasha is a superstar on Manor’s campus because of her incredible level of involvement and the trust she instills in us, that our students are the future leaders of the world,” Dr. Jonathan Peri, Manor College President, said. “We are so proud of Natasha as she earns this prestigious accolade.”

Moore serves in a variety of organizations at Manor College, including Presidential Ambassadors, Student Senate, Rotaract and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Her contributions to the community during that time have been immeasurable. In 2024, she helped develop a “Sip, Savor and Explore” series to create a dialogue about internal biases and where they come from. In the last three years, she’s organized a coat drive that donated more than 160 winter items to the St. James Church in Kensington.

In 2025, Moore received the Mother Josaphat Medal, the highest award a student can earn while at Manor College. It’s presented to a student who exhibits a responsible lifestyle evidenced through reverence, respect and service.

“Natasha is not only a wonderful student and exemplary leader, she also demonstrates good citizenship on a consistent basis,” said Allison Mootz, Vice President and Dean of Student Affairs at Manor College. “If there is a project that will help others, you can guarantee that Natasha will be there.”

The drive comes from her father, who used to tell her that when you can help yourself, you should help within your community and continue to help on a larger scale.

“It just feels good at the end of the day to feel like I’ve helped at least one person,” Moore said.
