In Memoriam: Margaret Byrne-Green
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Margaret Byrne-Green, a beloved alumna of Manor College’s Dental Hygiene Program, class of 2011. Margaret lost her courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer in December 2023, after more than two years of inspiring strength and determination.
Margaret’s journey through life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her profession and her passion for helping others. After graduating in 2011, she went on to build a remarkable career in dental hygiene, earning the admiration and respect of her colleagues and patients alike. Her commitment to providing compassionate care and her relentless pursuit of excellence set a standard for all who knew her.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Margaret was known for her warm heart and generous spirit. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, always willing to lend a helping hand and offer words of encouragement. Her positive outlook and resilience in the face of adversity served as an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
In honor of Margaret’s legacy, the Margaret Byrne-Green Memorial Fund has been established at Manor College. This fund will support future students in the Dental Hygiene Program, ensuring that Margaret’s passion for the field and dedication to compassionate care will continue to inspire and assist future generations.
We remember Margaret not only for her professional achievements but also for the incredible person she was. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, colleagues, and all those who benefitted from her kindness and dedication. She will be dearly missed, but her legacy will endure through the lives she touched and the scholarship fund established in her memory.
