Manor College Names Tracy Davidson 2024 Evening With Manor Honoree
The Emmy Award-winning journalist will be honored on Thursday, November 14.
Manor College will honor Tracy Davidson as its 2024 Evening with Manor Honoree, the institution announced. Davidson is a 14-time Emmy Award-winning journalist with NBC10 Philadelphia.
While many know Davidson for her on-air work, her most impressive work comes when the cameras are off.
“Tracy is so distinctive as a person,” said Dr. Jonathan Peri, President of Manor College, “she goes over-and-above in every way, most especially in the way that she cares about others, our students and how she encourages women into leadership.”
Her mission in life is to empower women and girls, both personally and professionally. As a speaker, her talks help teach women how to transform their lives by focusing their time, energy and attention. and embracing their true selves.
With her colleague, she developed Lifting Your V.O.I.C.E., a one-day event empowering women through discussions to help them rediscover their passion, quiet negative voices inside, set a pathway to intention and help connect to other positive women.
“Listening to Tracy speak on resiliency made me feel seen and proud of myself in a way that I haven’t felt in a long time,” Vice President of Student Affairs Allison Mootz said. “She is truly an encouraging motivational speaker and her warm, caring nature made it feel like you were talking to a friend.”
In the last few years, Tracy made her presence known at Manor College. Her first interaction with Manor was covering the opening of the institution’s Bird Feed pantry on campus in 2018. In 2023, she served as the Commencement Orator and received an honorary doctorate degree from Manor College. At the time, she was the first woman and second ever recipient of the honor.
