EMPOWER 2030 LEADERSHIP

FROM OUR PRESIDENT

Manor College is moving towards a future where our students are given the best chance to succeed. We advance an optimal academic agenda to ensure the workforce is well trained and leading edge with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. Our campus will be beautified in ways very few have imagined. In all, our vision for 2030 is one of a transformation—for both our students and our surroundings.

Please be a part of this new era for Manor College. Your support and generosity are what makes new worlds possible for our students. More than that, it inspires them to do better and make the most of their time here. Imagine 2030, and imagine the first classes a few years after that. The new workforce you help to bring into our local economy will be astounding, and you will know how your investment with us paid dividends for generations.

The U.S. Department of Education recognized Manor College in the top 4% of colleges and universities nationwide for helping students in need. Only two institutions were recognized as such in Southeastern Pennsylvania. More than 70% of our students are Pell eligible, reserved for students from families with economic need. More than 90% need financial aid. Many are from underserved communities throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. We were recognized in the top 6% of colleges and universities nationwide for helping students achieve socioeconomic mobility. Now you can join us in changing lives by being a catalyst yourself. Please reach out if you have any questions.

Blessings,

FROM JIM NEVELS

Education changes lives. My wife, Lourene, and I believe this at our core, and we are champions for those who want to make that transformation for themselves. This is especially true for first generation college students, like we both were. My father did not have the opportunity to finish college, but he made sure I got on that Greyhound Bus on the way to my journey, and I got my chance.

Manor College knows the journey of first-time students and those from underserved communities. More importantly, they build their reputation on it. Manor College is in the top 4% of colleges nationwide to help students in need achieve more, according to The U.S. Department of Education. The college is our partner of choice for an investment in future generations. Truly, the only way real change happens is when you invest in the success of others.

Lourene and I have put our convictions into action with Manor College, where so many people get their chance. When you make an investment like this, you work with a proven winner. Manor College is the place where people get their chance. It is an honor to help so many people realize their goals.

FROM THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

We stand with the executive team, faculty, and staff in their commitment to a new era for Manor College. Most importantly, we stand with our students. Like many of them, we were the first generation in our families to attend college—and we owe our success to others who supported us on our journey. Now it’s time for us to help another of theirs. We do this with our leadership of the students and campus, and now we dedicate ourselves to envision a future to help our students achieve more and reach their goals.

We see the impact of this college on its students as well as on the Greater Philadelphia region and the world. We welcome the chance to meet with you to discuss how this institution changes lives, influences the local economy, and transforms our communities.

FROM OUR PROVOST

When Manor College started planning for 2030, we started with our students and their academic success. There are few achievements that compare to those of our students. When they excel at studies in their given fields, we ensure their solid standing in the workforce. Our students will become your nurses, your dental hygienists, and your pet’s caregiver. They will teach your children in classrooms, patrol your neighborhood streets, and keep your computer networks connected. With the funding from this campaign, we will work to keep our academic program offerings cutting edge. Not only will our students be attracted to new and updated core areas of study, but we will be ensuring that the demands of today’s workplace are met by our graduates from day one.

Best Regards,

Joseph Gillespie, EdD
Provost, Manor College

FROM OUR VICE PRESIDENT & DEAN OF STUDENT AFFAIRS

Students come first at Manor College, and that is overwhelmingly apparent in our Student Affairs and Student Engagement programming. Our students have a wide variety of needs with accessibility issues that are physical, emotional, and learning challenges. Everyone belongs here. Your investment helps students meet needs—from essential to complex—to help each and every one focus on studies as well as enrich experiences here. The result is a more engaged member of the community. Graduates not only enter the workforce, they start a new life. After their time at Manor College, they become more civic minded and care for their neighbors because we reinforce that here.
