Manor College Receives Laptops from Digital Connectivity Technology Program

The laptops will be loaned to bridge technology gaps in the neighborhoods Manor serves.

JENKINTOWN – Manor College received 200 laptops to loan to its students and neighbors from the PA Broadband Authority’s Digital Connectivity Technology Program (DCTP).

The program seeks to place leading-edge technology in the hands of people who otherwise might not have access. The laptops can be loaned to students as well as the general public as necessary to bridge the technology gap that exists in the neighborhoods Manor serves.

“The laptops provided for loan by this grant are state-of-the-art,” Dr. Jonathan Peri, Manor College President, said. “They give our students and neighbors an equal playing field to ensure they have new and greater opportunities to succeed. Access to technology should not be a luxury.  Every individual needs to have this basic element for their professional growth.”

Students will receive their laptops as necessary. The public is invited to email Manor College to inquire about applying for a loaner laptop by emailing advancement@manor.edu or by calling 215-885-2360 x1216. As loaners, the laptops remain government property and must be returned to the college as hardware custodians.
