Ukraine Dialogue at Manor College Returns April 24

The event is titled, ‘Ukraine Through Our Eyes: Reflections from Congress and Journalists.”

Manor College’s Ukraine Dialogue returns on Thursday, April 24 at the Ukrainian Heritage Studies Center at Manor College. The event will be held in-person and via Zoom. 

The event is titled “Ukraine Through Our Eyes: Reflections from Congress and Journalists.” Those on the panel have made recent trips to Ukraine and will talk about what they saw from the front lines. 

The panelists include: 

  • Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (OH-09): Kaptur is the longest-serving woman in the history of Congress and ranks among the most senior members of the 118th Congress. She is a former city and regional planner, and served as a domestic policy advisor under President Jimmy Carter. 
  • Chris Herlinger: Herlinger is an award-winning international journalist and author who reports on global humanitarian crises. He has experiences in conflict zones like Ukraine, South Sudan and Haiti. 
  • Gina Christian: Christian is a national reporter based in Philadelphia for OSV News, a Catholic wire services. She’s made two trips to Ukraine with Archbishop Borys Gudziak in 2023 and 2024. 

The Ukraine Dialogue will be moderated by Ambassador Roman Popadiuk, the first United States Ambassador to Ukraine under President George H.W. Bush.
