Zegestowsky You Belong Here Fund

Jane Zegestowsky, former Manor College staff member and current Board of Trustee member, says her husband, Stephen, and she started the fund to fulfill our mission to support students.

“In the 28 years I worked at Manor, I saw how the students succeeded and also struggled. This fund is meant to provide immediate cash for urgent needs – like bus fare or school supplies. Manor College students come from underserved communities, more than 60% are first generation college students, and sometimes they can’t find the money for simple things. I remembered the help I got in college, and we wanted to help others as well.”

About the Fund:

You Belong Here. Certainly, it’s an amazing phrase that captures what it means to be part of the Manor community. But it’s much more than that. It means that you are able to study and achieve despite a challenging circumstance. We can help you though that. It’s about knowing that even though our cultures may be different, our diversity is celebrated. It means that even your mistakes can’t hold you back if you’re willing to grow. You Belong Here. If you want to work hard, stay focused, and accomplish your goals, You Belong Here. If you want to learn more, do more, achieve more, You Belong Here. No matter your challenges, despite your circumstances, and because you are who you are, You Belong Here.

Work Hard. Focus on Goals. Achieve More.

That’s how “You Belong Here” at Manor College.
