WAR .RU by Yurii RUDENKO (presented in person by the author and Major General Havrylov)

“This book is an important contribution to understanding the current Russian war against Ukraine. It will be read both at home and internationally with deep interest. It covers the first year of the war during 2014 and early 2015. It tells day by day the shocking and often gory tale of how the war unfolded. It tells of the invasion of Crimea, the initial Russian attempts to create Novorossiya in the east of country and of the eventual invasion by battalions of Russian troops before the battle of Debaltseve, thus saving the Russian backed militants from defeat. It tells in a matter of fact way the battles, and the names of some, but not all, of the Ukrainian heroes. It tells of civilian casualties, of those captured and tortured, and gives numbers of those missing. It tells of the Russian and militant casualties and the Russian daily lies to the world. The author tries hard to put the battles in political and military context for that time” – Lt Col (Retd) Glen Grant, Royal Artillery, the first foreign adviser with the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense in 2014

“Sooner or later, Russia will be forced to leave Ukraine and we will learn more details about the technologies and nuances of this hydride war. But the main thing that stopped the implementation of Putin’s scenario of “forcing Ukraine to peace” was the spirit and self-sacrifice of the Ukrainian people. This is what this book is about” – Maj Gen (Retd) Volodymyr Havrylov, former Defense Attaché of Ukraine in the USA 2015-2018

The Veterans Dozen Foundation for Rehabilitation of Wounded Ukrainian War VeteransA Presentation By Major General (Ret) Volodymyr Havrylov

The Veterans Dozen Foundation or V10 is a non-profit organization in Ukraine that uses Sport and all of its direct and indirect benefits to rehabilitate War Veterans suffering from physical and psychological injuries. As Director of the Foundation, General Havrylov regularly brings program participants to appropriately challenging events such as the US Marine Corp Marathon run for wounded war veterans and the “Cateran Yomp” British military styled long distance march in Scotland. This year he will bring a group of wounded Ukrainian veterans to challenge a long-distance hiking along the Appalachian Trail. The Author of WAR.RU will be in this group. General Havrylov will offer a presentation on the program, its founding, mission, and ongoing projects and successes.
