Manor College is seeking to hire a full-time faculty member in biological sciences beginning with the fall 2019 semester. This position is a 10 month contract payable over 12 months beginning August 2019 with faculty orientation.

Requirements:
Preferred candidates will possess a Doctoral degree from a regionally accredited university in biological sciences or a related field. Highly qualified candidates with a Master’s degree from a regionally accredited university will be considered.
Previous teaching experience desired in both lecture and laboratory courses at various levels of biological sciences desired
Familiarity with online learning management systems desired
Experience effectively communicating with various constituents including students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
Proven technology skills including Google applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and Learning Management Systems.
Excellent communication, collaborative, organizational and planning skills.
Demonstrated commitment and success in creating positive, transformational opportunities for students.
Demonstrate commitment to promotion of diversity and inclusion across the institution.
Promote and uphold the college’s Catholic Basilian institutional mission

Responsibilities include:
10 hours (posted times) of student advising per week (New faculty are mentored during the first year)
Service on college committees
Support at Manor College admissions and student engagement events
Participation in Arts and Sciences Division meetings, full time faculty meetings, and college-wide meetings and activities.
Ad Hoc service to the Arts and Sciences Division including support of admissions activities throughout the year.
