As demand for skilled paralegals continues to increase, the Manor College University Center partnered with Widener University offers the bachelor’s degree programs in legal studies.  The bachelor’s degree provides an in-depth learning experience essential to the paralegal profession, including classes in civil and criminal theory, legal writing, research skills, and procedure. By consulting with your advisor in choosing legal electives, you can also earn a paralegal studies certificate of completion, at no additional cost, in one the following concentrations:

  • Criminal law
    Corporate law
    Health law
    Estate administration law
    Intellectual property law

The Manor College University Center proudly offers the Widener University Master’s Degree in Higher Education Compliance.

The Manor College University Center partnered with Widener University’s Higher Education Compliance master’s degree seeks to develop the skills and knowledge needed to function as a compliance professional within a college or university.  Compliance requirements in higher education are complex and broad. Knowledge of higher education compliance is crucial to all university members whose role is to ensure compliance in their select areas.

Program Details

  1. Locate, analyze, and apply the regulations and laws impacting higher education.Improve writing skills with a legal analysis and writing course.
  2. Specialized courses cover issues such as: network security, campus security, risk assessment, HIPAA, internal auditing, training, ADA, ethics essentials, FERPA, enforcement, Title IX, and privacy.
  3. Gain skills needed to interact with academic leaders and establish compliance in a bureaucracy.
  4. Through practical skills assessments, students will apply the regulations to creating policies and ultimately developing a compliance program.
  5. Courses are taught online by leading professionals in the field and offer in-depth practical skills training.

The Manor College University Center proudly offers the Widener University Doctoral Program in K-12 Educational Leadership.

This program is one of the most highly regarded and recognized programs in the tri-state area.

Graduate students can focus their course of study on one of three concentrations: Curriculum, Instruction and Staff Development; Instructional Technology; Pupil Personnel Services; and School System Leadership. Widener’sK-12 Educational Leadership program offers professionals an opportunity to reach the highest levels of leadership within the public education system. This program offers the opportunity to professionals to earn a terminal degree needed to advance to the top of their profession.

Most of our students are working educators who can easily fit this program into their professional schedules because classes are held once a week in the evening. The K-12 Educational Leadership doctoral program prepares students for greater success in their profession by preparing them for the challenges and changes found in education.

Graduate students in the K-12 Educational Leadership doctoral program find a supportive environment and respected faculty who help students construct a foundation for career enrichment and success in the field of education. Through the Manor College University Center, Widener faculty members work closely with degree candidates to facilitate student success. Students quickly become effective and efficient leaders in this program because they are supported by faculty who act as mentors and offer a high level of personal attention.

Each of the concentrations in the K-12 Educational Leadership doctoral program prepares one for a leadership position, quite often at the district level, in the specialized area. In addition, the School System Leadership track may be taken in tandem with the Letter of Eligibility.
