The Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice program focuses on the development of leadership and analytical skills of students who aspire to obtain executive positions in the criminal justice system including the court system, correctional facilities, emergency response and law enforcement agencies. Students completing the program can go directly to work or transfer into a Master in Public Administration, Master in Criminal Justice or Master in Public Policy.
Students in this program are prepared with a solid background in Criminal Justice, whether they choose to be in the local, state or federal government, work with a non-profit or NGO, in administration. The courses include ethics and policy and provide students with a unique opportunity to focus on areas such as: Court Administration, Homeland Security, Criminal Psychology, Corrections Operations, among others.
Career opportunities include positions in Criminal Justice Administration at the federal, local and state levels. Other opportunities are also available in the public sector, in the areas of security and forensics in addition to advocacy, NGOs and non-profits.
