Within the Allied Health, Science & Mathematics Division, we offer 8 programs of study, including our highly regarded Dental Hygiene, Veterinary Technology, Expanded Function Dental Assisting (EFDA) professional programs. The Allied Health Transfer Programs include nursing transfer, radiologic sciences transfer, occupational therapy transfer, and physical therapy transfer. The science transfer program prepares students to transfer in a number of fields including pharmacy, laboratory sciences technology, and pre-medicine just to name a few.
In several areas – Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Dental Hygiene, and EFDA – students learn in newly renovated, state-of-the-art science laboratories and clinics. In all lecture and laboratory classes, students benefit from a low student-teacher ratio. We also offer personalized advising to each student.
Our students are highly successful in transferring to four-year institutions after graduation. In 2012, 93 percent of Allied Health Transfer graduates transferred to professional or scholastic programs to continue their academic studies. Three of our graduates have become Jack Kent Cooke transfer scholars, a prestigious honor that provides funding to complete bachelor’s degree at the nation’s top four-year institutions.
