Manor College’s Medical Billing and Coding Program will help you augment your current skills and knowledge, successfully prepare you for a career change, and enable you to increase your earning potential.

In order to keep up with the pace of today’s healthcare requirements, medical staff may need to increase their efficiency, knowledge, and skills of current procedures. At Manor College, we can train your staff to become both certified Medical Billers and Medical Coders. All employees in the medical field will benefit from our Medical Terminology/Survey of Anatomy and Physiology courses regardless of their positions.

All of our medical program classes are taught by qualified instructors who currently work in the medical field. Learn real-world current practices in medical billing and medical coding to keep up with the pace of today’s insurance requirements. This program will train individuals to become medical billers and coders and will prepare them to take and successfully pass nationally recognized coding exams.

Medical Terminology/Survey of Anatomy & Physiology I
This course is designed to introduce the student to medical terminology by understanding word roots, suffixes and prefixes, abbreviations and terms associated with the human body. The course provides a comprehensive study of the anatomy and physiology of the body. Topics included in this first course are: chemistry, cells, tissues, glands, membranes, disease and integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous sensory and endocrine systems.

Anatomy and Physiology 2 & Pathophysiology
This course covers the circulatory, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive and reproductive systems. The pathophysiology portion of the course studies the changes in the body that occur as a result of a disease or injury.

Introduction to Billing
This course will equip the student with knowledge of government and commercial insurance programs. The student will gain knowledge of various reimbursement methodologies, fee schedule systems, prospective payment systems, and billing claim forms. Upon completion of this course the student will have the essential tools to understand the billing process.

The CRCS-I/CRCS-P is a two (2) hour, online, proctored exam that requires working knowledge within focused areas of the revenue cycle, including relevant regulations and acronyms, and are comprised of three multiple-choice sections.
