Professional Tutor(s)
The Learning Center—An Academic Support/Learning Assistance Resource Center—At Manor College Is Seeking Professional Tutors in:
Writing Tutor
- Share your expertise by tutoring students in specific subject matter
- Share strategies for better writing and editing with students
- Meet weekly with students, as needed, to assist with ongoing assignments
- Provide assistance to students to understand and respond to assignments
- Gain invaluable tutoring/teaching experience to add to your resume or vitae
- Set your own hours around your busy schedule through direct scheduling with students/tutees
- Tutor both online and/or ‘in-person’ as needed
- Communicate with faculty, as needed, to assist student
***** Use of online platforms such as ‘Zoom’ may be required
***** Positions are ‘as needed’ with no weekly guarantee of hours
Compensation for tutoring as part of the Learning Center team is as follows:
$15.00/hour for Professional tutors (tutors who have a Bachelors degree or higher in the subject area or an affiliated relevant subject area)
