Director of Counseling
Job Summary: The Director of the Counseling Center is responsible for providing a comprehensive program of counseling services and support to the students at Manor College. This is the primary service function of the Director of Counseling Services. The secondary function involves providing transfer and career counseling to students in order to assure smooth transition to a four-year college or university and a successful entry into the work force.
Classification: Part – Time, Academic Year (August – May)
Hours: 21-34 hrs per week.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversees the operation of the Counseling Department which consists of the Counseling Center and Transfer Center.
- Provide individual counseling in areas of personal, interpersonal relationships, family and social issues.
- Provides individual short-term personal and college adjustment counseling to Manor College students in order to help students resolve or manage issues that interfere with academic success and social adjustment to college life.
- Provides career counseling to Manor College students in order to assure a successful entry into the world of work.
- Develops, updates, identifies need for, and assists in acquisition of, resource materials, catalogues, brochures, informational handouts, books, website materials, etc. for all of the above Counseling Departments services. Continually seeks to improve ways to disseminate such information to students.
- Maintains on-going communication and collaboration with Dean of Student, Residence Coordinator, Residence Assistants, faculty, and staff, to informs them of the Counseling Department’s services and programs, and serve as a resource to them in order to support students in their academic success , social adjustment, and to address student behavioral and mental health concerns.
- Attends new student and parent orientations.
- Attends professional development workshops and communicates information with director. When feasible, attends meetings of Consortium of Small College Counseling Centers and PACRATS (consortium of college career counselors) to develop a network of peers with whom to share ideas and information.
- Shares supervisory role vis-à-vis the work study/office support staff person.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Required possession of a current PA license in Psychology, Social Work and/or Counseling.
-Minimum of Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Clinical or Counseling
Psychology
-Three to five years experience in a clinical setting; preferred in higher education
-Preferred CAC (Certified Alcohol Counselor) in PA
-Ability to keep confidential records.
-Ability to multi-task in small clinical setting.
-Must possess good oral, written and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to relate effectively with students, colleagues, faculty, staff and administrators.
-Experience working with college age students and the knowledge of student development theories preferred
-Must pass child abuse clearance documentation
-Must pass a criminal background check

Enrollment Management – Full-Time Admissions Counselor
The department of Full-Time Admissions has an immediate opening for an Admission Counselor.
Responsibilities:
The development and cultivation of an assigned territory to recruit freshman and transfer students. This individual will serve as liaison with division chairs/program directors to promote the college to prospective students.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must have an Associate’s degree or higher and one year of sales, admissions and/or interviewing experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone with students, parents, faculty, and staff are necessary.
- Familiarity with CAMS Enterprise program for applicant tracking is desirable.
- Applicants must be comfortable with technology and experience with various Social Media platforms is beneficial.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required. Capacity to attend night and weekend admission events and an ability to travel are required.
- A willingness to commit to the mission and values of Manor College is imperative.

Middle Level Education program Adjunct Faculty ED 107: Foundations of Middle Level Education.
The course is scheduled for Wednesday from 4:00-6:30. This course is an introductory course for students majoring in Middle Level/4th-8th Education. The course focuses on basic educational theory, middle level curriculum and instruction, PA State Standards for middle level learners, and applicable federal policies including NCLB and IDEA. Instructors should possess a Master's Degree in Education, PA State Certification in Elementary or Secondary Education (either Instructional I or Instructional II), and 3+ years teaching students in 4th-8th grade.

Manor College is currently accepting applications for a full time position as Program Director of its Psychology transfer program.
Located in the Philadelphia area, Manor is known for its academic excellence and strong emphasis on teaching.
The anticipated employment date is Fall, 2010.
Job Duties: Responsibilities include teaching introductory and specialty courses; supervising program instructors; advising students; service to the college and community; active participation in departmental activities and professional development. Summer teaching opportunities are usually available.
Qualifications: A Ph.D. in psychology or related discipline by start date is preferred with qualifications to teach introductory courses and specialty courses in area of expertise, and a record of scholarship are required. Area of expertise is open, but special consideration will be given to candidates with a background in cognitive and developmental. Teaching experience at the college level is desirable. Candidates with Masters degree and outstanding teaching experience may be considered.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications.

The Program of Veterinary Technology
seeks adjunct instructors for the following course: VT204 Small Animal Dentistry - a two hour clinical laboratory for sophomore students in Animal Dentistry (VT204) during the spring semester, 2011. The course offers students a hands-on laboratory in small animal dentistry. Oral examination, dental charting, dental radiography and prophylactic care will be addressed. This is a new course for the Program. The Spring semester begins on January 10, 2011 and concludes on April29, 2011.

Orthodontic Assistant:
Expanded Functions Dental Assisting program is seeking an experienced Orthodontic Assistant to work in direct patient care with the Orthodontist in an educational setting.
P.T. Position: Hours are Tuesday 9-5
Requirements:
We are seeking someone with a minimum of 3 years full time experience as an Orthodontic Assistant that is very knowledgeable in orthodontic procedures. The position requires you to work with students under the direct supervision of the Orthodontist.

Current CPR Healthcare Provider Certification
